The Pina Bausch Foundation was established in 2009. We have been working on the Pina Bausch Archives for four years now: here, her extensive artistic bequest is made accessible, her legacy as a dancer and choreographer is maintained and carried on into the future.
You and Pina. Today, we invite you: share your memories of Pina Bausch – whatever they might be: memories of her art or of herself as a person, delightful or disturbing, small moments or grand hours. Just as her artistic companions, you yourself are part of the creative universe of Pina Bausch – having been the audience of her pieces and a citizen of her hometown of Wuppertal.
This invitation is rooted in our conception of the Pina Bausch Archives being a creative universe: it is not only video recordings and photographs, programmes, costumes and manuscripts that attest to her art of dance, but also the memories of those who experienced her art. Follow up on the work of the Pina Bausch Archives at the archive-parcours and get to know the various facets of the foundation’s work in the presentations of our programme – welcome to the laboratory of memory!
