It did not stop, my dancing

For a TV documentary about Pina Bausch and her work, the journalist Eva-Elisabeth Fischer, ballet and theatre critic and editor at the Süddeutsche Zeitung, accompanied the choreographer and the Tanztheater Wuppertal to a guest performance in Venice in 1992. For about an hour she talked to Pina Bausch on the balcony of the Teatro La Fenice, where Viktor was being performed to mark the 200th anniversary of the opera house.

Shortly before, the company had given guest performances of 1980 – A Piece by Pina Bausch in Munich. Only about half of the one-hour conversation made it into the film.
