Biographie

Blanca Noguerol Ramirez was born in Barcelona, Spain. She began her dance training at Nau, Estudi de Dansa Mª Dolors Ramírez, and later graduated in Contemporary Dance from the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. She continued her studies at Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany, where she also completed a Master’s degree in Dance Composition–Interpretation.

Before moving to Germany, she worked in Barcelona in independent projects, including developing her own choreographic work, and performed in opera productions at Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Since 2006, she has collaborated with various international choreographers, including Susanne Linke, Xavier Le Roy, Mårten Spångberg and Emanuel Gat, among others, as well as with guest choreographers working with Tanztheater Wuppertal such as Dimitris Papaioannou and Cecilia Bengolea & François Chaignaud.

She was a member of Folkwang Tanzstudio in Essen from 2011 to 2015. Alongside her work as a performer, she has also developed her own choreographic projects and collaborated with fellow artists within formats such as the Underground festival in Wuppertal, Germany.

She first worked with Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch as a guest in The Rite of Spring (2010–11) and Auf dem Gebirge hat man ein Geschrei gehört (On the Mountain a Cry Was Heard) (2014–15), and joined the company as a permanent member in 2015. Since then, she has performed in numerous works from the repertoire.
